Enchanté

As much as I’d like to start with some prose and avoid the common structure of an ABOUT ME section, I’ll spare you my inherent presumptuousness and just get right to it!

I’m originally from Indianapolis, Indiana. My mother tells me I was a born performer and I do recall indulging in my fair share of dress up and make-believe performances. Ballet lessons were always the highlight of my week. Into my preteen years, I had a great deal of trouble making friends, so my mother enrolled me in a weekend theatre company. It was there that I really began to blossom. Aside from the training I received, I really think that experience gave me the foundations for a lifetime of self acceptance. I can remember looking around the theatre and smiling to myself at the quirkiness of my fellow actors and knowing how that made them all so special.

After much preparation and equally as much vacillation, I moved to Los Angeles. It was thrilling and terrifying and the best decision I’ve ever made…

Admittedly, my path to this moment has been a bit of an uphill battle. But because life is about challenging ourselves to see just how far our wills can take us, I’m proud of that. It’s only when we don’t strive to better ourselves that we fail as humans.
